On Saturday, September 16th, the Town of Babylon will host the 3rd Annual Kayaking for a Cause event at Cedar Beach. Every year, the Town of Babylon Veterans Advisory Council will choose a local veterans group to donate the proceeds of the event. This year’s event will go towards helping the VFW Warren Keer Post 9482 in Copiague. Registration begins at 7:30 AM, with the run starting at 9:00 AM.
New this year: paddleboarding! Grab your own, or rent from the shop listed below and join us for this great event.
Whether you’re just starting out or are already an avid kayaker, there will be three separate trails for you to choose from, depending on your skill level:
The registration fee for adults is $35 and $15 for children ages 12 and under. Registration includes participation in the tour, a t-shirt and a bracelet for lunch at the Beach Hut at Cedar Beach.
Please see the bottom of the page for information on how to register. This year’s event will be limited to 100 kayakers on a first come, first serve basis. Your spot will not be reserved until your registration fee is received.
On-site registration begins at 7:30 AM at Cedar Beach Marina and the tour will launch at 9:00 AM. Participants should make sure to return to land by 11:00 AM. Please park your vehicle across the street from the marina at Cedar Beach.
