Councilwoman Jackie Gordon and Councilman Tony Martinez were in attendance for the first Town of Babylon Farmers Market ribbon cutting this past Sunday, July 11th. The Farmers Market has been designed to create an environment where town of Babylon residents can bring locally grown produce to a local market, thereby fostering a "shop your local community first" atmosphere. They will run every Sunday from now until November 21st between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm. The Farmers Market is located in the parking lot on the corner of Great Neck Road and Oak Street in Copiague.
