On Tuesday, June 8, 2010, nine year old Anthony Serpenti found his grandfather unconscious in a flower bed outside of his home. Without a second thought, he went inside to call 911 and directed the ambulance to his house. He then calmly called his aunt, as well as a neighbor, to watch him and his five year old sister. After undergoing brain surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital, Anthony's grandfather is now doing well. Allan Serpenti, Anthony's father, is a volunteer firefighter in the Town of Babylon, and has a lot to be proud of with an amazing son like Anthony. His heroic actions were recognized before a Town Board Meeting on the morning of Wednesday, July 14th.
