WASTE COLLECTION SERVICES
DRAFT REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: DRFP No. 10G28

This notice is issued pursuant to Subdivision 4 of Section 120-w of the General Municipal Law and is a notice of a Draft Request for Proposals for the financing, provision of collection means and services and the facilities, having to do with the collection of municipal solid waste from commercial, industrial and institutional establishments within the unincorporated areas within the Town of Babylon, Suffolk County, New York.  The means, services and facilities are expected to include: the routing; containers; vehicles; central yard and facilities; administrative management; maintenance support; and customer service support to perform services as specified in the Request for Proposals.

Copies of the Draft Request for Proposals may be obtained at the Town of Babylon, Town Hall, Division of Purchasing Office, 200 East Sunrise Highway, Lindenhurst, New York 11757 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, on and after June 2, 2010 for a fee of ONE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($150.00), until August 2, 2010.

Comments on the Draft Request for Proposals must be received in 6 copies at the office of Ms. Patricia Kaphan, Commissioner of General Services, at the above address no later than 11:00 a.m. on August 2, 2010.
