The Public Safety Committee focuses on a variety of issues including the wellness and safety of our residents, quality of life conditions in our neighborhoods, fostering connections between local law enforcement and volunteer fire departments, and educating the public on a variety of ways to stay safe. The chairman works closely with the commissioner of the Department of Public Safety on all of these issues.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the efforts of our Public Safety Committee. As an active member of the New York City Fire Department and a volunteer member of the North Babylon Volunteer Fire Company, I take great pride in my role as chairman of this committee.
Public Safety is an important aspect of our daily lives, which is why my top priority as chairman is to educate all our residents as to ways, they can stay safe. From sponsoring annual boater safety courses to offering fire prevention tips and partnering with the American Red Cross to emphasize the importance of having working smoke detectors in the home, I also work closely with leadership in the Departments of Public Safety and Code Enforcement to maintain a high quality of life for our residents.
Should you need assistance with any matter pertaining to Public Safety in the Town of Babylon, please do not hesitate to contact my office. I’d also like to remind you that Public Safety operates 24/7 and can be reached anytime at 631-422-7600.
