Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and the rest of the Babylon Town Board recently recognized a young town resident and his father, who together published a children’s storybook earlier this year.
Chase Flynn, 9, of West Babylon, is an incoming fourth grader at South Bay Elementary School. Flynn is also an active participant of the Town of Babylon Youth Bureau. He and his father, Kevin Flynn, became authors back in March when they published Blooby & Ant Become Friends. The book, which is recommended for ages 4-7, highlights how two people who are nothing alike can still become great friends by working together.
Supervisor Schaffer presented both Kevin and Chase with Certificates of Appreciation of behalf of the Town Board for their involvement in our community and for their dedication to inclusivity and inspiring kids to befriend those who may be different than them.
The book is available for purchase in paperback or eBook here: https://www.amazon.com/Blobby-Ant-Kevin-Chase-Flynn/dp/1665519525
