Throughout the month of August, Town of Babylon Councilmen DuWayne Gregory and Terence McSweeney and their staffs collected nearly 600 jars of peanut butter and jelly to be donated to the Town of Babylon food pantry. Peanut butter is one of the most frequently requested items by food banks because it is kid-friendly, shelf-stable and protein-rich. A special thanks to all from throughout our community who helped spread kindness by sending or dropping donations off to Town Hall.
The Town of Babylon food pantry accepts items year round and is located at 1 Commerce Boulevard in Amityville. Most needed items include: peanut butter, jelly, tuna, canned vegetables, soup, pasta, sauce, rice and beans.
