Applications Open for 2023 Ujima Program

Community Spotlights

Councilman and Human Services Chairman DuWayne Gregory is excited to announce the return of the Ujima internship program for 2023. The Ujima program, started in 2000, provides minority high school students residing in the Town of Babylon with a unique opportunity to participate in local government through hands-on training and mentorship. The program aims to foster interest in community development and provide an introduction to the myriad of occupations needed to effectively promote community and neighborhood interest.

The six week 2023 program will run from June 26, 2023 - August 4, 2023. If interested, please fill out and return the application to the Department of Human Services no later than March 27th at 4:00PM.
