Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer recently thanked New York State Senator Charles Fuschillo for securing state funding to repave Patton Avenue in West Babylon, which is heavily used due to the many local industrial businesses in the area. The $400,000 grant was paid for through New York State multi-modal funding. Patton Avenue was selected by the Town of Babylon for the funding due to its role as a heavily used thoroughfare that serves at least 40 industrial buildings and local businesses. Representatives from local businesses joined with Supervisor Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor Martinez and Senator Fuschillo to mark the project’s culmination.
