[ARCHIVED] Terry Philippi Honored by Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 1015

On Saturday, October 13th, the Town of Babylon’s own Terry Philippi was honored with a testimonial luncheon for her work in the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion.

Ms. Philippi served the Ladies Auxiliary in many capacities since she first joined the Babylon Unit in 1980. As a junior member, she was appointed Sergeant-at-Arms and then in 1981 was elected President of the Babylon Ladies Auxiliary. In 1982, Ms. Philippi moved up to the Senior Ladies Auxiliary and over the years served in the various positions associated with the office of Vice President. She also served as secretary and then president. Ms. Philippi transferred her membership to the Amityville post 1015 in 2010 and is currently serving as President.

Ms. Philippi served on many County-level committees to include Color Guard, Americanism, Education, Scholarship, Historian, and finally as the President of the Suffolk County Ladies Auxiliary for the year 2011.

Terry has done all of this while working for the Town of Babylon, currently in the Department of Human Services; Services for the Disabled. Pictured to the right is Supervisor Rich Schaffer presenting Terry with a Certificate of Appreciation.
