Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer recently joined with Councilwoman Jacqueline Gordon, Councilman Tom Donnelly, New York State Assemblyman Robert Sweeney and Presiding Officer of the Suffolk County Legislature DuWayne Gregory in recognizing Kyle D. Beck of Lindenhurst for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. A Court of Honor ceremony was held at Copiague Middle School to commemorate Kyle’s achievement. Beck, a member of Boy Scout Troop 284, planned and constructed wooden park benches and water drinking areas for the two dog runs at Tanner Park in Copiague, which took 422 working hours to complete. To mark this special occasion, Kyle was presented with an official Proclamation from the Town of Babylon.
