Town of Babylon Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez recently joined with Councilwoman Jacqueline Gordon and Councilman Tom Donnelly to present an official Town Proclamation to Girl Scout Rose Ann Bencivenga for her accomplishment in receiving the Gold Award, the highest honor in girl scouting. Rose Ann is a senior at Babylon Junior-Senior High School and has been a Girl Scout since kindergarten. In order to earn her Gold Award, Rose Ann delivered a free summer program about Long Island history to local children. The educational program featured a presentation on our area’s history, crafts and a video about Sagtikos Manor. At the Gold Award Ceremony, the Town Board members, as well as Babylon Village Mayor Ralph Scordino, congratulated Rose Ann for her accomplishments and wished her well in future endeavors.
