[ARCHIVED] State Sen. Boyle, County Exec. Bellone to Host Opioid Overdose Prevention Program Training Class

In light of recent tragedies, State Senator Phil Boyle and Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone will host an Opioid Overdose Prevention Program Training Class on Tuesday, April 22nd at Deer Park Fire Department Headquarters. As part of this class, participants will learn to recognize the signs of opioid overdose and what steps to take until EMS arrives. Participants will receive a certificate of completion and an emergency resuscitation kid that includes Narcan. This class is strongly recommended for those who may know someone suffering from an addiction to opioids and other painkillers.
