Town of Babylon Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and Councilwoman Jacqueline Gordon were recently in attendance for the Boy Scout Troop 284 of Copiague’s Court of Honor ceremony to recognize Joseph A. Ferriso for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor attainable in the Boy Scouts of America organization. The ceremony was held at Copiague Middle School, where Deputy Supervisor Martinez and Councilwoman Gordon presented Joseph with an official Town Proclamation in honor of his achievements. For his Eagle Project, Joseph planned, developed and constructed a new wood deck with railings and stairs at the Copiague Youth Council Building. The project took over 300 hours to complete.
