[ARCHIVED] West Babylon Boy Scout Earns Eagle Award

Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer recently joined with Councilman Tom Donnelly and Suffolk County Legislator Kevin McCaffrey to congratulate Justin Hyner of West Babylon for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in the Boy Scouts organization. For his Eagle Project, Justin, a member of Troop 104, spent over 400 man-hours planning, fundraising for and beautifying the area surrounding the memorial bench dedicated to Troop 104 Eagle Scout Brent Heithaus at Venetian Shores Park in Lindenhurst. The beautification effort consisted of designing and building a stone flowerbed, as well as planting shrubs, flowers and two trees.
