[ARCHIVED] Awards Presented to North Babylon Art Students at Town Hall Reception

Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and Councilman Tom Donnelly recently hosted a special reception at Town Hall to award students from the North Babylon School District for their cultural art pieces. To present the awards, the Town officials were joined by North Babylon Superintendent of Schools Patricia Godek and members of the Board of Education. The reception featured refreshments and performances by the North Babylon Jazz Band.

Four awards were presented at the reception: the Supervisor’s Award, the Superintendent’s Award, the Director’s Award and the Special Recognition Award. The winners were:

Supervisor’s Award: Britney Huang (pictured)

Superintendent’s Award: Stephanie Mercado

Special Recognition Award: Sabrina Jamshad

Director’s Award: Angad Sraon.

More than a thousand pieces of art from North Babylon students have been on display in Babylon Town Hall since early April and will be there to view until May 15th. Town Hall is located at 200 East Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst.
