Come join Supervisor Rich Schaffer and the Town of Babylon Department of Human Services as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month on Saturday, October 4th at Tanner Park! The program begins at 11:00 AM and will be held at the Tanner Park Bandshell, or the Tanner Park Senior Center in the event of rain. Admission is free for an event that is sure to be fun for the whole family with live entertainment, cultural displays, children’s activities and a vendor marketplace. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
Among the live entertainment will be the cultural dance and music production Estampas Folkloricas Peru of New York, as well as the Mambo Loco Latin Jazz Band and OLT Dance Company. At the celebration, the Town will pay respect to the United States Army 65th Infantry Regiment, also identified as "The Borinqueneers", who are known for being the Puerto Rican regiment of the U.S. Army and have served proudly in World Wars, the Korean War and the War on Terror.
