Babylon Town Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and Councilman Tom Donnelly recently congratulated Ryan Gruenewald of Boy Scout Troop 1634 on his achievement of becoming an Eagle Scout, the highest honor awarded in the Boy Scouts organization. For his Eagle Service Project, Ryan collected items to be sent to troops overseas. Ryan worked to contact stores in the area to help collect the items, which he then sorted, boxed and delivered to Give 2 The Troops, a Connecticut non-profit organization who ships donated items to soldiers abroad. His project took over 260 man hours to complete from planning to delivery.
