Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Councilwoman Jacqueline Gordon and Presiding Officer of the Suffolk County Legislature DuWayne Gregory were recently in attendance for Boy Scout Troop 284’s Court of Honor ceremony to grant Frank DiSclafani the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in the Boy Scouts organization. The ceremony was held at Copiague Middle School, where the officials congratulated Frank on his achievement and wished him well in his future endeavors. For his Eagle Project, Frank planned and made a safe yard at the Copiague Youth Council building for children to do their homework and other activities in a safe space. Frank’s project took over two hundred working hours to complete, which consisted of removing debris, installing new fencing and benches, and landscaping.
