Local high schools Amityville and North Babylon will be competing in the 1st Annual LuHi Invitational Basketball Tournament on Saturday, January 31st to raise funds for St. Jude’s Children's Hospital and Ronald McDonald House, in addition to scholarships. Supervisor Rich Schaffer and Town officials will be in attendance to cheer the teams on and support the special cause.
The tournament is being hosted by Team Green, an organization founded by North Babylon’s Danny Green and his father. Last year, Danny won an NBA Championship as a member of the San Antonio Spurs. Team Green works frequently with the Town of Babylon to support community projects and beautification efforts.
The event starts at 12:00 noon sharp and is being held at Long Island Lutheran High School, located at 131 Brookville Road in Brookville. Admission is $10 and $5 for children under 10. Please see flyer for additional details.
