Town of Babylon Councilwoman Jackie Gordon and the Veterans Advisory Council recently hosted a breakfast for over twenty local veterans and their families who reside in North Amityville’s Liberty Village. Councilwoman Gordon, who is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserves, spoke to those in attendance about the services that the Town provides to veterans in our area while Veterans Advisory Council member Joe Ingino discussed how to apply for veterans benefits.
Liberty Village, which opened last fall on the site of a former Army Reserve base, provides housing, employment opportunities and other services to local veterans.
