Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Councilman Tom Donnelly and the Town Board recently honored wrestler David Hamil of Deer Park for winning the New York State Championships, making him the third state champion in the history of Deer Park Falcons wrestling and the first in twenty years. David’s championship win capped off a dominant run, where he went unscored upon to become the Suffolk County champion and then went 4-0 to win the New York State title, not allowing an offensive point the entire tournament. David ends his career with the Falcons as the third most victorious wrestler with 141 career wins. The Town Board congratulated David on his great success and wished him well in his future endeavors.
