Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer recently joined with Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez, Councilwoman Jackie Gordon and Receiver of Taxes Corinne DiSomma to celebrate three Amityville restaurants that were listed among the best breakfast spots on Long Island according to Newsday. The three eateries – Park Avenue Grill, Cornucopia's Noshery, and Brownstones Coffee – were honored by the Town officials, as well as Suffolk County Legislature Presiding Officer DuWayne Gregory and Amityville Village Mayor James P.Wandell, at a special ceremony at Amityville Village Hall, where they brought samplings of the cuisine that made them all so highly regarded.
