The Town of Babylon recently joined with local community coalitions and groups to hold the first ever Town of Babylon Family Wellness & Awareness Day at Tanner Park in Copiague. Supervisor Schaffer joined with Councilwoman Jackie Gordon and other local officials to welcome guests to the event, which offered family fun to those in attendance while also raising awareness about the issue of substance abuse in our area. Those in attendance were invited to take part in a variety of activities, including a Chinese auction, and witness live performances from students in the area. Displays and resource tables were on hand to provide useful information to residents about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.
