Continuing its community service activities, charity events and working with local youth, the Copiague Kiwanis recently adopted Kerrigan Road near Tanner Park. The Copiague Kiwanis award annual scholarships to Copiague High School Seniors and mentor the Builders Club in the Copiague Middle School and the Key Club in the Walter G. O’Connell Memorial Copiague High School. After the highway clean-up effort, the youth volunteers were treated to a pizza party and barbeque for their dedicated service. Councilman Tom Donnelly thanked the Kiwanis and youth volunteers for their commitment to their community and for partnering with the Town of Babylon in the joint task of keeping our roadways clean and litter free.
