On Tuesday, November 24, students at West Babylon High School participated in a holiday community service project with the Town of Babylon Beautification Program and the North Babylon Lions Club. The students decorated fresh cut wreaths provided by the Lions Club, which will be donated to Pinelawn Cemetery for the holiday season. Not only did the students enjoy the wreath decorating project, but they gained an appreciation of the sacrifice made by our veterans. The students were joined by Town Councilman Tom Donnelly, Chair of Human Services and North Babylon Lions Club president Richard Irizarry to applaud their participation and thank them for their giving spirit. The students enjoy community service and have participated in the town’s Adopt-A-Park program and have offered their services at the town food pantry.
