This past week, Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer joined with Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez, Councilman Tom Donnelly and Receiver of Taxes Corrine DiSomma to welcome representatives of Long Island MMA to Town Hall, where they delivered one hundred new gifts to donate to those in need this holiday season. Joining the officials and gym representatives were Town of Babylon employees, as well as Toys for Tots coordinator Sgt. Ricardo Martinez of the United States Marine Corps and UFC fighter Dennis "The Menace" Bermudez. Every year the Town of Babylon collects hundreds of toys on its own through drop boxes at Town offices. Among the popular gifts donated this year were Star Wars toys, sports equipment and board games.

Long Island MMA and Fitness Center is located at 590 Smith Street, Farmingdale NY. They specialize in mixed martial arts training, including kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and self-defense classes. For more information, visit http://www.limixedmartialarts.com.
