More than 90 volunteers helped the Town of Babylon Department of Environmental Control open the Town’s 9/11 memorial site for the season. In recognition of National Arbor Day, the volunteers planted 12 trees and shrubs, 100 potted plants, over 4,000 beach grass plants, and mulched the flower gardens. The volunteers consisted of Boy Scout Troops 113 and 183, Chaminade High School students, 9/11 family members, and personnel from the Town of Babylon Parks Department.
