[ARCHIVED] Local Eagle Scouts Recognized for Community Service

Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer recently joined with Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and Councilman Tom Donnelly at the Court of Honor Ceremony for new Eagle Scouts Joseph Trifaro and Joseph Valenti, members of Troop 104 of West Babylon. The Eagle Scout is the highest-available rank in the Boy Scouts organization. Trifaro, of East Farmingdale, designed and constructed a podium for American Legion Post 94 in Babylon Village for his Eagle Scout project. Valenti, of West Babylon, designed and installed a memorial garden for Company 5 Fire House in Bethpage. The project was completed in memory of a firefighter and family friend who passed away at a young age.

Supervisor Schaffer honored Trifaro and Valenti with official Town of Babylon proclamations and lauded the scouts for their community service.
