[ARCHIVED] WEATHER ALERT: Coastal Flood, High Winds Warning Issued for our Area

With a powerful Nor'easter approaching our area, the National Weather Service has issued a High Wind and Coastal Flood Warning for parts of the Town of Babylon, remaining in effect through Tuesday morning. Rain is expected to be heaviest late this afternoon and into this evening, so please remember to use extra caution when driving.

All southern parts of the Town should prepare for coastal flooding, particularly around tonight's high tide, which is at approximately 7:00PM. Consider moving vehicles and other property to higher ground.

High winds may cause downed trees and power outages. To report a power outage, please contact PSEG Long Island at 1-800-490-0075. For the latest storm information, please continue to monitor the National Weather Service site for our area.
