Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer recently joined with Councilman Tom Donnelly and Special Assistant Terry McSweeney at the Court of Honor ceremony for new Eagle Scout Christopher J. Gaudino, of Copiague. The Eagle Scout is the highest rank available in the Boy Scouts organization. For his Eagle project, Gaudino (of Troop 284) planned, developed and implemented the construction of a storage shed for Sophia’s Garden at the Homecoming Farms in Amityville. The new shed will provide a location for the farm volunteers to store their tools and materials necessary for the upkeep of the area. Nearly 160 working hours were needed for the completion of Gaudino’s project.
Supervisor Schaffer commended Gaudino on his achievements throughout his career as a Boy Scout, and presented him with an official Town of Babylon proclamation to thank him for his service to the community.
