(February 14, 2017 – Lindenhurst, NY) – On Wednesday February 15th, Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, in conjunction with Parents for Megan’s Law and the Crime Victims Center, will host a special community meeting about sex offenders and protecting our children from victimization. The event will feature a presentation by Laura Ahearn, Esq.—Executive Director, Parents for Megan’s Law & the Crime Victims Center.
Topics discussed at this community meeting will include sex offender residency restriction laws, Megan’s Law in New York State, the Suffolk Community Protection Act and Nassau Megan’s Law community support programs. All who wish to attend this free event are asked to register at www.eventbrite.com.
