Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer and Councilman Tom Donnelly recently attended a Court of Honor ceremony for Dominick Santiago, of Lindenhurst, who recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. The Eagle Scout is the highest achievable rank in the Boy Scouts organization. For his Eagle project, Dominick—who has been a scout with Troop 60 since 2009—established a measured mile walking program with pedometers at the Lindenhurst Rainbow Center. In addition, he helped construct a new shuffleboard court, and with the help of his handy grandfather, repaired and re-tipped the billiard cues at the Rainbow Center.

Supervisor Schaffer and Councilman Donnelly thanked Dominick for his commitment to the local community and presented him with an official Town of Babylon proclamation, declaring February 1, 2017 as “Eagle Scout Dominick Santiago Day” in the Town.
