During their recent Spring Recess, teens from the North Babylon Teen Center paid a visit to the Spangle Drive Senior Center as part of their annual Global Youth Service Day initiative. The teens created holiday crafts with the seniors, baked delicious desserts, and raffled off 20 gift baskets for the seniors to enjoy. For over 10 years, the North Babylon Teen Center has partnered with the Town of Babylon Beautification Program for this annual initiative.

Global Youth Service Day is the largest service event in the world and is the only event that highlights and celebrates the contributions of youth to their respective communities through volunteer service throughout the year. The Town of Babylon Beautification Program is in its 15th year participating in Global Youth Service along with the office of Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre.
