Town of Babylon Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez recently joined with New York State Senator Phil Boyle and New York State Assemblyman Andrew Raia to thank volunteers from the Friends of Edgewood Task Force, Concerned Long Island Mountain Bicyclists (CLIMB), Edgewood Flyers, Stop-N-Shop employees, scouts, the Deer Park Fire Department and concerned residents for their dedicated efforts in cleaning and beautifying Edgewood Preserve. Scores of volunteers braved the inclement weather for the community clean-up that resulted in hundreds of pounds of garbage being removed from the Preserve, including tires and debris. A 20-yard dumpster was filled with debris that was removed from the 850-acre Preserve, which is a natural habitat for birds and other wildlife.
