IDA Newsflash.jpg
Town of Babylon Councilwoman Jackie Gordon recently joined with board members and staff of the Babylon Industrial Development Agency (IDA) at an annual award ceremony to recognize local graduating high school seniors who plan on continuing their education at technical schools. A total of eleven $500 scholarships were distributed to the students, all residents of the Town of Babylon. These hardworking students will learn important skills that will contribute to the development of a sophisticated workforce that’s needed on Long Island, an ideal that remains a core component of the IDA’s mission.

This year’s scholarship winners are Enrique Murcia, Brandon Lugo, Monique McDonald, Serafina Shaner, Patrick J. Nealon, Devyn Chambers, Ryan Dilavore, Kelsey Christiansen, Brenden Lynch, Hailey Smith, and Azly Gonzalez. Councilwoman Gordon congratulated each of the students and wished them well with their career pursuits.
