[ARCHIVED] Town of Babylon Officials Recognize New Eagle Scout

Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer and Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez recently attended newly-appointed Eagle Scout Kyle Christopher Lindenberg’s Court of Honor Ceremony. Lindenberg, from Troop 398 in Lindenhurst, was honored for reaching the highest possible rank in the Boy Scouts organization. Village of Lindenhurst Mayor Michael Lavorata and Trustee RJ Renna were also in attendance.

Potential Eagle Scouts must complete a special project in order to achieve the prestigious ranking. Lindenberg constructed a “buddy bench” to be placed in a local school. Students seeking a “buddy” to spend time with can sit on the bench to make new friends.

At the ceremony, Supervisor Schaffer presented Lindenberg with an official proclamation declaring June 13, 2017 as Eagle Scout Kyle Christopher Lindenberg Day in the Town of Babylon. The proclamation was passed at a recent town board meeting as resolution #428.
