The West Babylon Fire Department will host the Town of Babylon Fireman’s Parade on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 5:00 PM. There will be a reviewing stand at the West Babylon Fire Headquarters, where the parade ends. A small community fair with food, refreshments, inflatable rides for children and a performance by the Ronald Reagans Big 80s Show band will follow the parade. The fire departments involved hope to interact with the community during and after the parade, and are looking to meet potential volunteers.

Each of the Town of Babylon Fire Departments will march south from East Drive/Route 109 before heading South on Arnold Avenue to the West Babylon Fire Department HQ located at 126 Arnold Ave. Commuters in the area should plan driving routes accordingly during the parade.

“This is a great opportunity for our neighbors and members of the general public to show support for the efforts and sacrifices made by our firefighters,” said West Babylon Fire Department Chief Christine Manzi. “Volunteer firemen love what they do; they are everyday heroes who help neighbors in need. We hope this parade and community fair will inspire other area residents to join the fire service family,” she added.
