Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and Receiver of Taxes Corinne DiSomma recently attended the Babylon Citizens Council (BACCA) on the Arts Harvest Moon Gala. The gala, in its tenth year, took place at Gemelli’s at Bergen Point in West Babylon. Martinez and DiSomma presented Theresa Santmann, the gala’s honoree, for her work in her community and thanked her for her years of service.

Santmann has dedicated her career to helping others across Long Island. As a result of her successful career, which began as a registered nurse and culminated as a nursing home director and entrepreneur, Santmann has made several generous donations to local organizations and universities. She has been a leader in the fight against ALS after her husband died from the disease, and still found time to serve as the President of both the Babylon Village School Board and Chamber of Commerce. She is currently a member of the BACCA Board of Directors.
