[ARCHIVED] Thanksgiving Comes Early for the Town of Babylon Food Pantry

Food Pantry Donation Photo.jpg

Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer and Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez thanked North Babylon residents Andrew and Elinor Spadafora for donating to the Town of Babylon Food Pantry. This year, the Spadaforas helped those in need by donating a large truck-load of provisions and toiletry items to the pantry in North Amityville.  The food pantry was in dire need with the holiday season quickly approaching, and the generous donation filled its shelves. Special Assistant Terence McSweeney and members of the Human Services Department were on-hand to thank the Spadaforas for the donation that will assist dozens of Babylon families this Thanksgiving.

The Spadaforas, who have drawn thousands of visitors to their beautifully decorated home during the holidays, enjoy helping others and giving back to the community.  Their holiday display not only delighted young and old visitors, but monetary donations collected at their home supported Schneider’s Children’s Hospital for 28 years.
