Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez, Councilwoman Jackie Gordon and Receiver of Taxes Corinne DiSomma recently thanked three current officials who are moving on from the Town Board at the end of the year. Councilmen Tom Donnelly and Lindsay Henry as well as Town Clerk Carol Quirk received gifts for their years of dedicated service before a recent Town Board meeting.

Schaffer, Martinez and Gordon took turns sharing stories of working with the three officials on the Town Board. Gordon recalled a time when she needed an emergency procedure, and awoke to find Councilman Henry by her bedside.

“The biggest thing for us is that we all genuinely got along and worked well together. We are always there for each other, and that’s really special,” Gordon said.

Donnelly, Henry and Quirk each received gifts from their fellow Town Board members during the ceremony. Residents and town employees were on-hand at Town Hall.
