Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer and Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez recently attended the Court of Honor ceremony for Steven Coyle, where he was named an Eagle Scout. Schaffer and Martinez thanked Coyle for his service to the Lindenhurst community and congratulated him on the great honor of becoming an Eagle Scout.
Coyle’s Eagle Scout Service Project was assisting in the organization of a blood drive by the New York Blood Center that took place at the Huntington Hills Center for Health & Rehabilitation. During his time with the Boy Scouts of America, Coyle has participated in multiple community service projects, including food drives, memorial tree plantings, Hurricane Sandy aid and assisted multiple other Eagle Scouts.
Coyle is a member of Boy Scouts of American Troop 60 in Lindenhurst. His brother Michael is also an Eagle Scout.
