Starting on or after Tuesday, January 23, and continuing through Thursday, January 25, The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) will install a segment of new track in the vicinity of Wyandanch, in the Town of Babylon, through Farmingdale requiring temporary closures at grade crossings. This work is being performed as part of the LIRR Double Track Project which will improve service and reliability on the LIRR’s Ronkonkoma Branch and spur economic activity.
