Town of Babylon Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez, Councilman Anthony Manetta and Town Clerk Gerry Compitello recently attended the swearing-in ceremony for the West Babylon Chamber of Commerce members and its Board of Directors at the American Legion Sgt. John Sardiello Post 1634 in West Babylon.
Scores of business owners, residents and elected officials attended the ceremony that also raised funds for local charities and scholarships. The West Babylon Chamber and its Board of Directors are working together to advocate and represent the interests on behalf of the business community. Members from the West Babylon Fire Department, Suffolk County Police Department, West Babylon Main Street Organization, PTA, school board, civic organizations and local officials were in attendance to congratulate the newly elected Chamber and Board members and wish them well with the newly formed Chamber of Commerce organization that will benefit businesses as well as the residents of the community.
