Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and Councilman Terry McSweeney recently visited the site of a new Eagle Scout project in Deer Park. Eagle Scout RJ Incandela, Troop 157, was surrounded by proud family, friends, local veterans and elected officials as his project was unveiled at Pine Acres Park in Deer Park.  RJ's project is a memorial to all MIA and POW Veterans, and a reminder that they will never be forgotten.  RJ worked diligently to secure the funds and donations needed to purchase and install the "Chair of Honor,” which remains perpetually empty as a powerful daily reminder that even though our soldiers are not here, this special Chair symbolizes that there will always be a place for them when they return.  Since WWI, over 91 thousand servicemen and women still remain unaccounted for.

Schaffer, Martinez, McSweeney, Congressman Peter King, Assemblyman Andrew Raia and Legislator Tom Donnelly thanked RJ for his dedicated efforts and for bringing the special Chair of Honor to our township.
