The Town of Babylon Department of Environmental Control (D.E.C.) recently held a forum at Town Hall in conjunction with New York State regarding the importance of the planting of trees. The day-long event took place in the town boardroom and featured presentations from several different environmental groups.
The symposium culminated with a tree-planting demonstration by members of the New York State D.E.C. in Town Hall Park, where a dead tree was recently removed. The new tree was carefully added to the park within minutes.
