Town of Babylon Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and Councilpersons Jackie Gordon and Terry McSweeney were on-hand for the grand reopening of Island Jerk in Wyandanch. Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and representatives from Suffolk County Legislature Presiding Officer DuWayne Gregory’s office and the office of Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre were also in attendance.
The restaurant, originally located on Straight Path in Wyandanch, moved to North Babylon six years ago. While that location will remain open, owners Lorraine Kennedy and Paul Gayle are happy to be back where they started, this time adjacent to the LIRR station in downtown Wyandanch
