Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and the rest of the Town Board have congratulated several new Eagle Scouts across the Town of Babylon over the past few weeks. Each scout is honored at a Court of Honor ceremony, where he details the project he completed as well as his accomplishments over his scouting career that result in the illustrious rank of Eagle Scout. At each ceremony, scouts are presented with official Town of Babylon Proclamations for their achievement. Here are some of the newest Eagle Scouts within the Town of Babylon:

Greyson Sladic, West Babylon, Troop 183: Greyson planned and constructed a new park bench with surrounding flowerbeds at Weckerle Park in Lindenhurst. Greyson also organized the fundraising efforts that made the project possible.

David John Russell, Deer Park, Troop 86: David’s Eagle Scout project was the refurbishing of two planting sites at May Moore Primary School in Deer Park, where he attended kindergarten through second grade.

Nicholas DiDomenico, Deer Park, Troop 86: Nicholas constructed two new shelving units at the Deer Park Food Pantry before holding a community food drive to stock them.

Johnny Starzee, Babylon, Troop 104: Johnny oversaw the beautification of the Robert Moses State Park Field 2 sign.

Billy Marvin, Babylon, Troop 104: Billy built a chicken coop for the EJ Autism Foundation.

Sebastian Harkin, Babylon, Troop 194: Sebastian has earned 36 merit badges as well as gold, silver and bronze palms throughout his scouting career.

Michael Quinn, North Babylon, Troop 399: Michael has earned over 20 merit badges since he began scouting in 2011.
