Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez, Councilmen Anthony Manetta and Terry McSweeney and Receiver of Taxes Corinne DiSomma joined members of the Babylon community for the annual 9/11 memorial service at Overlook Beach. Several other elected officials were also in attendance.
The ceremony featured accounts of the tragic events of Sep. 11, 2001, color guard presentations from local fire departments, prayers and the singing of the Star-Spangled Banner and God Bless America.
