DuWayne Gregory came to support the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition as they began their spring maintenance of weeding, cleaning and putting down mulch at their Vision of Hope Garden at Town Hall.  DuWayne Gregory’s interns, the Lindenhurst High School National Honor Society, Boy Scout Troop 398, the Lending Hand Club of Rall Elementary School in Lindenhurst and the Girl’s Club volunteers who represent the BBCC.

The Vision of Hope Garden is located at the southeast corner of Town Hall Park. It is a beautiful contemplative space with lovely landscaping, sculptures, benches and a pink ribbon-shaped path paved with engraved red bricks in memory of, or in honor of someone who has battled breast cancer.

The BBCC LATER returned to the Vision of Hope Garden to plant flowers, just in time for Mother’s Day. The Girls Club, Troop 398 were there once again to help. The Lending Hands Club of Rall Elementary were there also and donated the beautiful flowers used for the planting. The beautification effort was undertaken in conjunction with Global Youth Service Day, a worldwide celebration of community service and civic engagement.
